Neither seems to be a clearing house for small time photographers to release their images to a wider base, either. Both are things I was thinking would be needed. Those seem to be more along the lines of a "collection" released under one license umbrella. but CC has so many license options, and there are others that are applicable but not CC. Personally part of my motivation was the desire to add truely useful features such as median/average/highlight color value indexing, more detail about resolutions avail etc. Stuff people who use stock photography in the print world REALLy care about. But alas it's only the tip of the content iceberg. Let the brainstorming commence!
